Existen dos construcciones

Will have

 

To be going to have

 

Se puede usar cualquiera de las dos formas, son intercambiables

 

No puede usarse en frases que empiecen con expresiones de tiempo (time clauses): 

when, while, before, after, by the time, as soon as, if, unless, etc.

En estos casos se utiliza el presente simple

You won't get a promotion until you will have been working here as long as Tim

Se usa para indicar la duración de una acción[1] cuya futura finalización se produce antes o en el mismo momento de una segunda acción futura de referencia expresada en presente  simple por ir acompañada de una time clause

They will have been talking for over an hour by the time Thomas arrives.

Se usa para indicar la duración de una acción[2]  cuya futura finalización se produce antes o en el mismo momento de una referencia temporal.

I will have been decorating the living room for over three hours

Para las situaciones anteriores, suele usarse la preposición for para indicar la duración

For over 5 week, for several years… since Friday

Se suele utilizar para explicar causa y efecto de una acción

He will be tired because he will have been exercising so hard [for more than one hour]

No puede usarse con Non Continuos Verbs y algunos Mixer Verbs

Ed will have had his driver's license for two years

En las respuestas cortas se utilizar el pronombre, nunca el nombre

 Will Tom have been eaten? Yes, he will
